It was my pleasure to be one of the speakers at the University at Buffalo’s Association of Pre-Medical Students Medical Symposium 2025 . We all shared our stories of how we ended up in Medicine often with no clue how we got here! The panel included Dr. Christine Adams (Emergency Medicine), Dr. Vijay Iyer (Interventional Cardiology), Dr. Surinder Devgun (Gastroenterology), Dr. Ravinder Devgun (Pediatric Anesthesiology), and Dr. Sumera Shah (Family Medicine). We were met with over a 100 motivated students gathered to learn by asking interesting questions about pursuing a career in medicine. It is such a nice feeling to see these young students be excited about joining our amazing field, no matter which specialty!
