Neil was having difficulty at his job due to difficulty walking and right foot pain.
Neil was a new patient that came to our vascular clinic with complaints of difficulty walking and right foot pain. He is a part time cashier at a home improvement store and was having severe difficulty getting through his four hour shifts due to leg pain.
Arterial studies showed that Neil had significant blockages in his right leg stent which was placed at a different vascular center. This was preventing blood flow to his foot and causing his pain.
Fortunately, Neil was a candidate to undergo a minimally invasive angiogram procedure with Dr. Sonya Noor and her team at our outpatient facility, AccessCare Vascular. The total procedure time was 1 hour and the patient underwent Jetstream atherectomy of his in-stent stenosis with successful return of flow to his foot.
Afterwards, Neil was discharged home the same day and immediately was noticing alleviation of his foot pain. “I am now completely pain free and am able to get through my shifts. I definitely preferred having my procedure outside of the hospital. The medical staff was very attentive to my needs and was always asking for my feedback during my medical care.”
